Partner Code 128979 for AvaTrade: What Actually Happens When You Use It

People message me about partner codes all the time. Same question every time: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?

Nope. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. That's your trading cost. A partner code has no impact on spreads.

Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. AvaTrade Partner Code - 128979 That's all it does.

How much do you get?

Deposit $1,000 and get $200.

$2,000 gets you $400.

$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.

Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. That's for serious capital.

British traders get £160 bonus on £800 deposits. Goes to £11,200 at the top.

You can open an account with $100. But you need $1,000 to qualify for bonus.

Where to enter the code

When you're signing up. Once you've filled in your phone number, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click the arrow. A text box appears. Type **128979**.

Easy to miss since it's collapsed by default.

If the system rejects it, don't panic. Complete your registration. Message your account manager before you deposit. Ask them to add code 128979. They handle this regularly.

You can't withdraw the bonus straight away

There's a volume requirement.

Roughly 10,000 units traded per $1 bonus. A $200 bonus means trading 2,000,000 units before that $200 unlocks. Takes a while if you trade small. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.

Your own money stays yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. The bonus stays locked until you hit the volume.

One thing worth knowing: locked bonus funds still contribute to your margin. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
